Welcome to the Water Resource Coordinators Group of Minnesota! The Group was formed in 1999 to meet the needs of local, county, state and federal water resource professionals in Minnesota. Meetings are held at varying locations in the metropolitan area, but all employees of governmental organizations are invited to join and participate in the group whether by attending meetings or giving or asking for ideas and assistance through email.
The group typically meets the third Wednesday of the month at 10 am to discuss topics related to water. This can include stormwater, lake or pond treatment, stream bank restoration, native plant landscaping, shoreland restoration, inflow and infiltration (I&I), groundwater protection, TMDL's or other topics. Thank you!
Consultants are encouraged to contact the group if they have a topic they would like to present to the group. However, only employees or paid representatives of a city, county, state, watershed district, water management organization or federal governmental unit are allowed to join and regularly attend meetings.
Please contact the Group Coordinator, Leslie Stovring with the City of Eden Prairie at lstovring@metrowater.org if you are interested in joining the group, attending a meeting or presenting a topic to the group.
